For Melanie and I working as business partners does come with some challenges. Just how and where do we draw the line between our personal life as a couple and business partners.
It is so important to draw this line in the sand and don’t cross it. For us , taking time for ourselves is so important as a couple.
So today let’s go for a walk on the beach.
But why may you ask?
When you think of romantic things to do with someone you love, walking on the beach is probably on that to-do list.
Three things make strolling on the beach such a great way to connect with each other:
1.Did someone say Ice cream?
Yes, we all shouted for the ice cream when we heard the ice cream truck as kids.
We sure, still love starting out beach days getting ice cream.
Ice cream reminds us to enjoy the little things in life.
2.The amazing Beauty
The beach is a very different scenery to our office and helps us get away from those screens that we look at most of the time.
Each time we are at the beach there seems to be a different movie playing out. either the seagulls are sitting on the water, stealing some chips from the side restaurants or chanting while flying past.
The backdrop is usually made up of different coloured water crashing on the sand and rocks through a different tempo.
There are very few places that are pleasing on the eyes and ears, at the same time lifts your spirits and puts you in a happier mood.
Also, when you go to the beach to walk with your loved ones, it’s not something you have to do. You’re making a choice to spend the quality time together.
3.Having a focused attention to relax
When you’re walking together on that beach, filled with either fine sand or shells, it sometimes feels like it’s just the two of you.
We are not doing some tasks or on our phones. We spend the time talking to each other and really listening, or just enjoying the silence. We are together and that is all that matters.
So really, go for that walk on the beach with the people you love.
